Humanray’s Mammography Launch in RSNA 2011

- Realizes high-resolution & cost-efficiency with CMOS detector

- Full-scale overseas launch through RSNA 2011 exhibition

Humanray Co., Ltd. (CEO: Mr. Se Hong Oh, / www.humanray.com , www.sizgraphy.com), a company specializing in Core X-ray Solutions., will participate in RSNA 2011 (Radiological Society of North America) Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting to be held in McCormick Place, Chicago USA on the 27^th of November to the 2^nd of December 2011 with an exhibit of its Digital Mammography System (Product Name: Sizgraphy, see photo).

Sizgraphy is the world’s first screening mammography product that features a high resolution CMOS Detector with a 70um pixel size that enables precise detection of minuscule lesions and micro calcifications in breast tissues. Also, image acquisition is low-dose[1] but with superior image quality. More particularly, it realizes a large 24X30cm Single Chip CMOS Detector technology with a single wafer[2] that makes for a highly accurate detection.

In CMOS technology, the attenuated x-ray of an object is converted to light on the scintillator and then the imaging detector captures that light. So Indirect type CMOS based detection method is the most advanced technology that produces the highest signal to noise ratio with greater efficiency than other known technologies. And Humanray adopted this CMOS technology to FFDM (Full Field Digital Mammography) for the first time ever worldwide.

Mr. Oh, the CEO of Humanray, has said that “Because we are a provider that has both R&D and manufacturing capabilities for CMOS detector technology, our FFDM, Sizgraphy, has a more competitive price compared to other companies that are well-known for mammography sales”.
