Rayence Co., Ltd. (CEO: Hyun Jeong-Hoon), an affiliated company of Vatech Global and a manufacturer specializing in digital x-ray imaging system & core parts, got the silver award recognition for the “2014 Technology Award” and was selected as one of the 10 new technology companies during the awarding ceremony organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea on November 13.

Rayence is Korea’s mass producer of CMOS-based medical sensors. The most important feature of its selection among the 10 new technologies is the high-resolution CMOS detector technology for diagnostic mammography, which implements a 24x17cm large-area sensor with a 12-inch single chip. With its 70 pixel resolution, precise diagnosis of micro-calcified lesions in dense breast tissue is now possible.

On June 2013, a global health care company recognized Rayence for its high image quality mammography (mammography imaging system), and has entered into a strategic agreement for its CMOS detector business.

The “Korea Technology Award" is an award bestowed by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea. This is the country's most prestigious award that recognizes companies that develop superior technology and excellent technical development, which has provided great impact on related industries.
