Gnatus, a Brazilian company which has head office in Sao Paolo Brazil, began operations in 1976. The name *Gnatus came from the Greek word "Gnathus", which means jaw. Initially, Gnatus manufacture articulators - or devices that stimulates the movement of the jaw, as reflected in the company name. Later, the company started local production and sales of dental chairs and other dental devices with high regard for quality and technology. Gnatus officials first visited VATECH in 2010 at the smaller building in Giheung Yongin City, which was previously used as the head office.
